Now, what I'm thinking about right now. Shortcuts, impacts, destruction. Well many will agree its easier to destroy than create, even if less rewarding. An interest in violence seems to be instilled in our personalities. The government spends billions more dollars a year on military research than on solving world problems such as world hunger, global warming prevention, diseases, endangered animals, renewable resources and our collapsing economy itself. But goddamn everyone if I don't get a new HDTV for my wall.
Okay, so, what is the goal? In our progress as a species? Is our goal to make everyone happy? Is it possible for everyone to live in full bliss? Well it's really what we strive for, even if we know its impossible. Really, the goal is to fairly accommodate the accelerating growth of humanity. Is finding new, easier ways of killing people productive in fulfilling this goal? It depends on the way you look at it. On one hand, people who don't deserve to die and have promising futures are dying, which most cultures around the world agree is A BAD THING. On the other hand, maybe war is one of our ways of controlling the overwhelming rate of growth, growth which is causing there to be a need to solve world hunger. To clarify, I'm not warranting or justifying killing people. It seems to me that a lot of things are two sided. If we use our previous knowledge and make educated guesses about the outcomes of the outcomes of things that are happening, we'll find it goes back and forth eventually balancing out.
So lets analyze, weigh the outcome. The greater good is a matter of opinion. There's no right answer. Everything just is.
